Multiple Hip Hop World Awards winner, Dbanj, is not new to making headlines. The G.O.O.D. Music act also runs his record label back home, called DB Records. Since he signed on with Kanye West, Dbanj has brought nothing but prestige to the Nigerian Music industry. His Oliver Twist song, produced by friend, Don Jazzy, has taken him beyond leaps and bounds from the day it premiered. Furthermore, the track made it to the top ten itunes chart in UK in the week of its premiere in UK and number two in the R&B charts last summer.
D'banj represents everything called Nigerian music home and abroad. From featuring on the 'Cruel Summer' Project, to humanitarian visits in the UK, Dapo Oyebanjo has done it all. Last week, British daily journal, London Evening Standard, did a feature on Nigeria, in "Little Lagos" and where else to take a cue, if not Lagos and Yes!, the Koko master himself, D'banj was in-charge of the lowdown.
