Nigerian Supermodel Oluchi To Host Africa’s Next Top Model!
Congratulations are in order for Nigerian supermodel, Oluchi. This comes after CBS announced on Friday 26h April, that Oluchi's production company, LuLu Productions will be producing the first ever Africa's Next Top Model which will be hosted by the supermodel herself and shot on location in South Africa.
It will air on M-Net and Africa magic channels in 2013. No specific date has been given yet.
Oluchi was the first African to win the first ever continental search, Face of Africa in 1998 when she was only seventeen years old.
This is what she had to say:
"I am excited to be hosting Africa's Next Top Model and it is great to be part of the successful America's Next Top Model franchise that Tyra Banks created and has hosted an impressive 20 cycles thus far in the U.S.
The African version of the franchise is long overdue and I expect the show to be a smashing success across the continent.
My company LuLu Productions will be partnering with Never Machine productions with Gavin Wratten as co-executive producer and also one of the giant media houses to help make this show a big success."
I'm so excited about this; you would swear I'm going to be a contestant! While congratulations were pouring in and still are, one of the messages that made me teary and all smiles was when fellow winner of Nokia Face of Africa (2005), Kaone Kario sent her well wishes, Oluchi responded with, "2gether U n I will leave it better than we found it!."
Come to think of it, if we were all as passionate about our respective spheres of expertise with such a mentality, prosperity would be an understatement!
Good luck to Oluchi and thank you for your contribution to the continent. Now go out there and scout them hot African beauties!
What's your take on this?
