Oprah Winfrey gets mobbed by fans as she leaves hotel in Montreal (Photos)
She didn't rise to fame the conventional way, but that doesn't make her any less of a celebrity.
In fact, she may even get more attention than many Hollywood A-listers, and that was certainly the case on Thursday.
As she attempted to leave the Fairmount Queen Elizabeth hotel Montreal, Canada, the 59-year-old talk show host was mobbed by fans.
Though she may have tried to blend in by wearing her sunglasses, her bright red coat made her impossible to miss.
But the philanthropist appeared happy to sign autographs for some fans, taking a few minutes to meet and greet them before hopping into her black SUV.
After she got into her vehicle to head to a conference at Bell Center downtown Montreal, it got so crazy that a bodyguard had to halt people from coming any closer.
Men and women were seen taking photos with their mobile phones to capture the famous TV star.
And one guy even held out a CD, baring a gift to Oprah, which she gladly accepted.
Afterwards, the partner of Stedman Graham posed and smiled with her new album as she sat in the back of her SUV.
'Gotta say Canadians are the nicest people. This is my 5th Canadian city. Everyone is so KIND.Thank you MONTREAL !' Oprah tweeted after her trip.
